Our Respite Program has touched the lives of many children and
families to provide support and activities for children referred to us
through state and area agencies. Respite is provided to
alleviate stress and support a family while providing the child(ren)
with positive activities and beneficial programming in the home and in
the community and subsidized by the CT Department of Children and
Families.
We service a diverse population with many different needs.
Some of the children we have provided Respite to are an older child
from Eastern Europe, a suicidal teen, an ADHD child, children being
raised by grandparents, as well as others with quite a host of
familial, developmental and psychological needs.
Our referral children are assessed and matched with our
multi-talented, experienced Respite Child Care Workers to provide
positive and effective activities.
The growing pool of Child Care Providers show a sincere interest,
dedication and background in working with children. All respite
providers must have DCF and State Police background checks, as well as
valid driver licenses and have available three or more hours per week
with each child.
Throughout our programs existence, we have established
relationships with area recreation facilities. This enables our
workers to take our children into the community for fun, interesting,
enriching activities and experiences.
We are always looking for qualified Respite Workers. For more
