People residing outside Connecticut can begin by calling their Child Welfare Agency or Department of Children and Families (listed in the blue pages, state listings of your local phone directory) or look under Adoption in your Yellow Pages. We cannot complete a Home Study for someone outside of Connecticut.The adoption options section will explain the kinds of adoption that are available and answer frequently asked questions regarding the adoption in all aspects.
